W. E. Billy Stackhouse, 83, of Maumelle passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009. He was born in North Little Rock to the late William Ernest and Evelyn Williams Stackhouse.
As a child, Billy represented Arkansas in the Chicago Worlds Fair from Dorothy Donaldsons Dance Studio. He attended Texas A&M University, he was the first freshman to serve as a Drum Major in the marching band. He was a WWII Veteran with Hq & Hq Sq 14th Air Force Stationed at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. He retired from St. Paul Fire and Marine as a Sr. Claims Supervisor. He was a Mason and member of the Scimitar Shriners and other local organizations. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Pat Stackhouse; two sons, Craig Stackhouse and Mark Stackhouse and wife, Shawn; one daughter, Pam Cox and husband Ronnie; twelve grandchildren and host of other family and friends.
Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009, at Rest Hills Memorial Park, with Reverend Scott Walters officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home (501-791-7400).
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 509 Scott Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201.

I am very sorry that you have lost your dear child. This life of our brings about many trials and tribulations. Please take comfort in what the Bibles describes as a sure hope for our loved ones. Acts 24:15 " and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."
