Bernice Fair Nesbitt, age 93, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009. Mrs. Nesbitt was born September 3, 1916, in Oden, Arkansas, to the late Henry Alvin Fair and the late Dessie Leona Barber Fair. Mrs. Nesbitt was an active member of Aubrey Missionary Baptist Church and taught Bible classes for 50 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Greta Nesbitt Brooks of Mobile, Alabama; two sisters, Juanita Allen of Jackson, Mississippi, and Wanda Kalb of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; and a brother, Hollis Fair of Heber Springs, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Oather Jackson Nesbitt.

A church service will be held for Bernice Nesbitt at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Aubrey Missionary Baptist Church in Aubrey, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Aubrey Missionary Baptist Church, 201 Broadway Street, Aubrey, Arkansas 72311, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, Marianna, (870) 295-2528.
