Barry Nix was truly a great person in my life.We grew up together and our familys were close.Barry shared much about Christ as well as music that were both in our lives as well as family..He loved all his friends and family with a big heart and would do anything to keep everyone happy.Being in one of his 60s' bands ,we always had a good time together.Barry was also a christian and I know is singing to the Lord as I type. There is a great reunuion in heaven with his mom ,dad, and brothers. One of these days I will see Barry again and hope to be his drummer in a new band, praising Jesus Christ.I'm sorry for your loss and God bless your family...Gary & Kaye

My deepest and most sincere sympathies go to the loved ones of Mr. Nix. I only just found out about his passing and was shocked. I honestly don't know at what age in my life that I actually met Mr. Nix. I did have the pleasure of meeting with him in July and talking to him briefly. He was always a delight to be around. I remember his gracious smile. My heart goes out to Barry, jr., Brandon, and Sunny as well as his many family and friends. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Chasidy

I am so sorry to hear about Barry. I have known him since about the 3rd or 4th grade. He was truly a very sweet person. He always had a smile on his face. He had a great voice and those of us who graduated with him remember him and his band. He entertained us all. Our class reunions will not be the same without him. My heart goes out to all of the family.

Barry was a man who loved God and this community. I remember many enjoyable conversations with him regarding the scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit in our city. I have discipled lots of young guys at Moka's with Monday night Bible studies in the last few years. Barry's big smile and kind heart will be missed. Our prayers are with you.

To Barry's family and friends, he was a blessing and loved by so many. Our condoleances to all of you. Barry was a very giving person. I remember talking with him at Interal Medicine when he had his Mother there for a checkup. He cared. It spoke volumes to me. I also remember how he gave continually to the Church. Not only his own denomination, but many others. He will be so missed.
