I was saddened to hear about the passing of such a great man. I never think of your dad wothout the memory of his big smile, and huge hands. The love of his family was so very obvious. He always seemed so calm, and gentle. I always looked forward to visiting with you all when ever we got together.
My love and prayers go out to each of you.
I am so sorry for your loss. Bud was a great man. He will be missed.
As a member of the patriot guard it was a great honor to be part of the service. I do not have any time in the military but I come from a familty that has served in the military. My dad is a marine served during Vietnam. I have much respect and honor for those that have served or currently serving since myself is not able to.

Dear friends, Mary and Bud were such wonderful people. We came to know them when we lived across the street and my grandmother before me lived in the same house and was also Mary's friend. They treated Seth like he was their own grandchild and we consider Luke as close as a brother to Seth. We have lived in many cities over our lifetime, and I have never, never met any people as gentle and kind as these two. I am so happy that Bud is with Mary now, knowing full well how close they both were. We will keep you all in our prayers, knowing that things will never be the same, but looking with hope to the time when we will all see them again. Love and with much sadness, Ben, Polly and Seth Vance
Leon, Ray and I will have you, April, and all your family in our prayers.
May God bless each of you during this sad time.

Ryan Family, you all are in and will be in our prayers!
Lost my hero dad when I was 18. He was a WWII vet too and would today be about Bud's age, maybe a little older. I'm glad ya'll had Bud this long. Seems more natural than losing a dad at 18--not a day goes by I don't still miss him and wish he'd lived a lot longer. Will never forget the conversation I had with Bud, his stories and especially that "combat vet handshake" he gave me--He was a combat vet forever. I'll be so proud to ride for him in the flag ride and to stand in the flag line at the cemetary.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now,soldier
you’ve borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets;
you’ve done your time in Hell."
Mr. Ryan was an inspiration to many and his talents and skills are rarely ever found. His ability to be a mentor and father, grandfather and great grand father was blessing from God.
Thanks you Mr. Bud for all you have done and all of the lives you have positively affected...directly and indirectly.

Elaine and I were very sadden to here about Bud's passing. As you know Bud and I worked together for many years but I must say that traveling the world together was the most fun from fishing in Canada to working in Saudi Arabia and many many more. Bud was a great friend with an infectous smile and knew what ever you needed to know when you needed it. I will miss him very much. May God give you and the family his peace at this time.

To my grandpaw Bud, the finest most admiral man i have ever known.Thank you for everything you have done for me,I am a better man because of you.
Morning comes too early and nighttime falls too late
And sometimes all I want to do is wait
The shadow Ive been hiding in has fled from me today
I know its easier to walk away than look it in the eye
But I will raise a shelter to the sky
And here beneath this
Star tonight Ill lie
He will slowly yield the light
As I awaken from the longest night
Dreams are shaking
The sirens waking up tired eyes
With the light memories all rush into my head
By a candle stands a mirror
Of my heart and soul he dances
He was dancing through the night above my bed
And walking to the window
I throw the shutters out
Against the wall
And from an ivory tower hears him call
let the light surround you
Its been a long, long time
I've had awhile to think it over
In the end I only see the change
Light to dark
Dark to light
Light to dark
Dark to light
Heaven must be more than this
When angels waken with a kiss
Sacred hearts wont take the pain
But mine will never be the same
He stands before the window
His shadow slowly fading from the wall
And from an ivory tower I hear his call
let the light surround you
Once lost but I was found
When I heard the stained glass shatter all around me
I sent the spirits tumbling down the hill
But I will hold this one on high above me stil
I know its easier to walk away than look it in the eye
But i will raise a shelter to the sky
And here beneath this
Star tonight Ill lie
Tonight Ill still be lying here
Surrounded in all the light
REST IN PEACE
Leon, April and Family
