Michael Kevin Linn

of Damascus, AR

January 8, 1962 - June 28, 2009

Michael Kevin Linn, 47, of Damascus, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 28, 2009. He was born in Oklahoma on January 8, 1962. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Linn of Conway, his grandfather, Hershell Linn, his grandmother, Ova Linn Edwards of Damascus, his step grandfather, Lamon Edwards, his maternal grandparents, J. C. and Gladys Hutson of Canute, Oklahoma.

Mike's life changed 6 years ago when he accepted Christ as his Savior at the New Beginnings Ministry in Houston, Arkansas. He walked the walk daily and loved his lord. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Conway and was a salesman with Linn's Auto. He was a faithful member of the Men's Bible Study Fellowship and missed very few Monday nights, despite his battle with cancer.

He was diagnosed with cancer in November and his courageous battle to overcome it and his faith in God was truly an inspiration to all of us.

Mike is survived by his mother, Karen Linn, of North Little Rock, a brother, Marty Linn of Little Rock and his wife Amy, nieces Toni Linn and daughter Sidney of Port Orange, Florida and Leslie Metze of Fairborn, Ohio and her husband Joel and daughter Charlie Jane. Other family members are a step mother, Kathy Linn of Conway and 2 sisters, Katherine Wood and her husband Travis of Fayetteville and Susan Woodard and her husband Steve of Clarksville, an uncle, Danny Linn and wife Linda of Conway, an aunt, Robbie Dace of El Paso, Arkansas and an uncle, Gerald Hutson and his wife Ann of Texas and a host of other family and friends.

Memorials can be made to New Beginnings, Houston, Arkansas, Calvary Baptist Church of Conway or the Faulkner County Humane Society.

The service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Reverend Lynn Mayall officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Mountain Cemetery in Damascus.

The Family Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Harold Dace, Keith Dace, Ric McCoy, Eric Priester, Stanley Gordon, Jr., Jeff Duncan, Jerry Hulett, and Lee Boatman.

Robby and Danny and family members of Michael,

We never had the privilige of knowing Michael, but we knew his father, grandmother, great grandfather. I want to extend our sincere sympathy for all of Michael's family. We were all aware that he has been very ill. He is no longer sick and has complete peace. We are Gracie Donohue Bittle's daughters, and nieces of Earl Donahue.

Bobby Linn was my cousin and I remember seeing Mike in Oklahoma when he was a baby. Bobby and Karen were so happy. Danny told me he was going to visit Mike, and called me on his way. He called to console me about my Mother who just died. Aunt Ova was so excited to have him build a house by her. We will miss them all. All our love and prayers to you all.
