Ira Arnold Irwin, 84, of Little Rock, died on Wednesday, May 20, 2009. He was born on October 27, 1924 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of the late Ira Arnold Irwin, Sr. and Pearl Efird Irwin. He was a retired real estate agent and was a member of Mabelvale United Methodist Church. A veteran of the United States Navy, he was a 32nd Degree Mason, 50 year member of Congo Masonic Lodge, a member of Scimitar Shrine Temple, and founding member of the Airport East Kiwanis Club. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, John David Irwin.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Wilchman Irwin; daughter, Teresa Irwin Luneau and her husband Harold, of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Matthew Irwin and his wife Jamie of Alexander, Marc Irwin and his wife Emily of Memphis, and Patrick Luneau and his wife Jeanice of Conway; one great grandchild, Ethan David Irwin of Alexander; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2009, at Mabelvale United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Bob Marble officiating. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501)224-8300.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mabelvale United Methodist Church, 10500 Woodman Street, Mabelvale, Arkansas 72103.
