W.G. "Dub" Lunsford, 82 of Damascus, passed away on December 24, 2008. Born in Quitman, AR on January 8, 1926, he was a son to the late Emmitt Clinton and Elzora (Hendrickson) Lunsford. Mr. Lunsford loved to fish and was of the Missionary Baptist faith. A brother Doris Lunsford and a sister Dorthy Martin also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Margie ( Wooton) Lunsford; two sons: Dale Lunsford and wife Lois of Damascus and Wayne Lunsford and wife Melody of Conway; a daughter Linda Spradlin and husband Leonard of Greenbrier; five grandchildren: Greg Lunsford, Amy Crownover, Nathan Spradlin, Shonna Spradlin, and Sarah Lunsford ; three great-grandchildren: Lindzie Lunsford, Bradley Lunsford, and Jerit Crownover; two brothers: Amos Lunsford and Clinton Lunsford ; two sisters Oneda Simmons and Erma Hughes and a host of friends.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2008 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Interment will follow at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy.
