C.B. Chism, 94, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in Helena, Arkansas. Mr. Chism was born April 24, 1914 in Mississippi to the late Wade and Emma Chism.
Mr. Chism is survived by 3 daughters, Doris Grady of Green Forest, Arkansas, Pat Smith and husband W.A. of Poplar Grove, and Wanda Henson and husband Daniel also of Poplar Grove; 4 sons, Roy Chism of Ruskin, Florida, Ray Chism and Gayle of Lexa, Arkansas, Dale Chism of West Helena, Arkansas, and Danny Chism and wife Vanessa of Belle Rose, Louisiana; host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Jewell Chism along with 2 sons, 2 grandsons, and 1 great-granddaughter.
Services for Mr. Chism will be held Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Pastor Jim Harrison will officiate.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Bobby Grady, Roger Grady, Scooter Corbitt, Randy Corbitt, Derril Corbitt, Terry Lynn Corbitt, Dennis Chism, John Chism, Ronnie Pryor, Donnie Pryor, Rex Chism, Jr., Billy Chism, Jr., Tim Henson and Joe Henson.

Pat,
I just happened to look on Helena's paper site on the internet and saw your dad had passed away. I am so sorry. I wish I could have been there for you! He was definitely a character. I loved it when he would come to the bank. He always made me laugh. He and your mom are probably somewhere fishing. I'll be praying for you and your family. Love ya! EVA
