Joseph Howard Robards, 95, of Rondo, Arkansas passed away Monday, October 6, 2008 at his home with his family at his side. Mr. Robards was born November 28, 1912 to Joseph Ward Robards and Annie Howard Robards in (Old Vineyard) of Phillips County, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joe Ward and Annie Howard Robards, 4 brothers, Cecil Robards, Clyde Robards, Charles Robards, Harry Robards, and sister Carolyn Robards Cunningham.

He is survived by his wife, Rubye Brewer Robards of the home, daughters Ruby Ann and Dee Burchfield of Proctor, AR, Betty Jo and Mack Rainbolt of Harrison, AR. 5 grandchildren, Billy and Lois Burchfield of Rosebud, AR, Babs and Brad Belew of Rondo, AR, Ellen and David Hall of Harrison, AR, Micky Rainbolt of Harrison, AR. Darryl and Teresa Burchfield of Bryant, AR, 8 greatgrandchildren, Brian Brady, Christen Hall, Chad Hall, Kellen Hall, Katlynn Burchfield, Shelby Burchfield, Bailee Burchfield, and Alissa Burchfield.

His grandson will serve as pallbearers, Billy Burchfield, Micky Rainbolt, Darryl Burchfield, Brian Brady, Chad Hall, David Hall, and Brad Belew.

The family request memorial be sent to Rondo Baptist Church, 201 Estes Lexa, AR 72355.

Funeral Services were held, Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Roller-Citizens Chapel in Marianna, AR, with Brother Rodger Hooker officiating. Burial followed at LaGrange Cemetery visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2007.Roller-Citizens Funeral Home 621 Chestnut (870) 295- 2528 was in charge of arrangements.
