Mick, Patty and families, It was so hard for us to say good-bye to Linda yesterday. There were so many times when I have hurt for her during the variety of illnesses that plagued her for so many years. She was among my best-of-best friends for nearly 30 years. When I needed her, she was always there--even standing up for Joe and me when we were married more than 23 years. I can remember a lot of great shopping trips and also our trip to Nashville so vividly. She was so precious to me, and always full of joy, and even knowing that she might be going to leave us, said to me, "If it's my time to go, it's my time to go! She was a jewel in this sometimes cold and cruel world. I can truly say I am happy that she suffers no more, and I am absolutely sure that her beautiful and unique laughter now echoes through the halls of Paradise. Mickey and Patty, you know that Joe and I are here for you always. With all our love and prayers, Gerri & Joe Farmer

Mickey....we were so sorry to hear about Linda. She fought it as long as she could and she was a great inspiration to all around her. I would go into the branch by the new mall and she always asked about the kids and what was going on,even though she was the one that was sick. It's just not going to be the same going into the bank and not seeing that wonderful smile. But there is not a doubt in our mind where she is, and you can take comfort in knowing she is in no more pain. May God grant you peace in the coming weeks as you adjust your life without her. This world and the people that came in contact with her are better off for knowing her.........With deepest sympathy....Kevin & Kathy Rowe

Mickey, I was saddened to read about Linda's death in the newspaper. I didn't know she was ill. Linda always brightened up the workday when I worked with her many years ago at BNEA. Linda was always a very religious person and I know she's in heaven now waiting to greet others there. May God Bless you and Linda's family during these sad times.

Mickey, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you go through these difficult times. Robert and I worshipped with you and Linda at Nettleton several years ago. Robert attended Nettleton during some of his high school and college days. When we begin dating, he came over to Fisher Street. Several years after we married and just before he began preaching at Hoxie we were at Nettleton for a short time. You may not recall me but I remember Robert speaking highly of Linda and you before I even knew either of you. I think Robert went to school with you both. Robert died in 1985 while we were at Hoxie.
