Sherry, It has been over 40 years I guess since we last saw each other. We went to Hillcrest Elementary School together and you lived on Parkside Drive and I lived on Parkwood. We played together as children and your dad was in the Air Force I believe and he was transferred to Alaska so your family moved away. I wanted to send my sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your mother.

Ralph and I send our deepest sympathies to all the family. We really loved Shirley and RL. And even though time and distance had kept us apart, we always thought of them as our closest friends. We hope all the family will be comforted knowing how happy Shirley and RL are united in heaven with God. Our love to all

Sherry, Roger and Family: We are so very sorry for your loss. We didn't get to see Shirley or RL much in the past several years, but will always remember the fun and friendship we all had in our younger days in Jonesboro. May it be a comfort to know you're in our prayers.

I was saddened to hear of your loss. I have so many fond memories of Shirley running around with me and Lorene Brownsfield at Dyess. R.L. was a classmate and a friend also. I just wanted to let her family know that her passing will be sorely mourned by many of us who had lost touch over the years.

Roger and Sherry......I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother. I really wish that I could have been at the service. Your mother as well as your father were one of the greatest blessing and help to this minister. Shirley was a great spiritual person and she touched many people in her life time. I believe that you children are what you are because of the influence and the love that your parents gave you. Donna and I have you in our prayers and I hope to see you soon,,,Shirley was a special person...Love you all

May the Lord bless and keep the family of Shirley at this time as she is relieved of the trials and pains of life here among us. She finally rests with her savior and loved ones gone before. We raised our families together as members of 47th. St. Baptist Church as well a here in the Levy area. A willing laborer in the work of the Church as well as her everyday life. A sweet woman, mother and friend.

Several years ago we had the amazing opportunity to spend time with Shirley at Grandmommy and Grandaddy's anniversary party. (Tommy and Mary Jo Burlison) What an awesome time we had. Shirley was so funny. We loved sitting and listening to her talk. She kept us laughing so hard my stomach hurt. I am sorry I haven't had the opportunity to spend more time with Grandaddy's family but I cherish the time I have had. Sherry, what an incredible servant you have been to your mom especially these last few months. The way you have been right there by her side taking care of her, there is no better picture of God's selfless love and dedication. Shirley was so fortunate to have you by her side, and I know she was comforted knowing you and Betty Anne were there with her. I hope to meet you personally some day. Please know you and all of your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I'm so sorry.....I love you, too Grandaddy and I'm sorry I can't be there!!!!!!

Roger & Sherry, I am sorry for the loss of your mother - Momma Shirley as RL always used to call her. My brother, Brad, and I spent many fun evenings at their house with our parents, and RL and Shirley were always very sweet to us. I remember them as being the most generous souls - RL was always practicing 'my place is your place' and was always encouraging us to come out to the Ponderosa to 4 wheel, fish and get a suntan. Shirley could cook a meal that few could rival. They were always smiling and happy. I will never forget RL's story about his tax check coming back to "Ronly Lonly Warhurst" - it brings a chuckle out of me every time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Many blessings, Mary Christy
