Evelyn Dean Ball, 82, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008 in Jacksonville. She was born December 27, 1925 in Marianna, Arkansas to the late Auton D. Smallwood and the late Lola Harrison Smallwood.

She is survived by her loving children; daughters, Paulette Ball of Greenbrier, Arkansas and Debra Sorrells of Atlanta, Georgia; sons, John Wayne Ball of Poplarville, Mississippi, Donald Ray Ball of Atlanta, Georgia and Richard Lloyd Ball of Greenbrier, Arkansas; a sister, Louise Thompson of Jacksonville, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Shelby Ball.

Graveside services for Mrs. Ball will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2008, 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Reverend Rodger Hooker will officiate.

Honorary pallbearers are Landon Harp, Phillip Harp, David Ball, Zachary Sorrells, Carroll Ward and Ronnie Loeschner.
