My deepest sympathy for your family. You are in my prayers.
We were the Tylers neighbors for over 22 years, and they were neighbors and friends in the true sense of the word. Mr. Tyler shared his roses, his fishing advise, his bird watching knowledge, and his kindness. He made us feel safe in our neighborhood, and he watched out for us. He was a devoted husband, and he talked alot of his children and grandchildren, and he was proud of them all. We will always love and respect him and Emma Lou and we know our lives are better for knowing them.May God Bless you all. Our prayers are with you.
We are sorry to hear of another death in your family. May God bless you
May God bless your family at this time of grief, William and Wadette Howell Matthews (My Mother was Sibyl Tyler Howell and was a first cousin to John Thurman).
I wanted to send my condolences to let you know that you and your family are in my thoughts during this difficult time. Mary Ann
My last and very fond memory of Uncle Thurman was at my Dad's funeral when Uncle Thurman hugged me and said: "It's okay; he's with the Lord now." That's what I thought about Uncle Thurman as soon as I heard of his death: 'he's with the Lord now. So, I want to return that thought of comfort now, to you, his family as he shared it once with me when Dad passed on, , ... "it's okay, he's with the Lord now. " And, I'm sorry I can't be there to give you a hug with it. But, my prayers are with you, that God will keep each of you in peace and hope through these days of loss. You are all in mine and my children's thoughts and prayers: Carolyn, Andrea, Jennifer, Becca, and Bridget
Tom, Linda, and Family: We are very sorry to hear of your loss. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Cindy Beckman and Evelyn Burnett
To The Tyler Family, Mr. John was such a great man. He was our meter reader when I way around 9 years old. I was out of school for 18 weeks, and he always had time to asked how I was doing and talk to my parents about me. I will always remember him. D. D.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We are so sorry for your loss.
Johnny - I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's death. I can just picture him and your Mom from my days at First Baptist. I also remember that you came to Mother's graveside service in 1998 and how much that meant to me. She would have been so pleased! I'm sorry I won't be able to be there on Friday. Philip and I send our love to you and Liz and your family.
I used to see Mr. John around the old Lawrence Landing, where I worked as a kid. I remember his deep and kind voice. One of my most memorable and best recollections of Mr. John was during an ice storm in the late 70’s. We had been without power for three days and I found where a tree limb had fallen across the line near Gold Lake Club Road. I flagged Mr. John down about 11:30 PM on Hwy 365 and told him what I had found. He followed me to the spot and I fully expected him to call in a younger crew with a bucket truck. But, not Mr. John. He focused his spotlight on the pole and strapped on his hooks. In just a few minutes about 200 families had lights. Mr. John had to have been 55 years old plus and was probably in his 16th hour of that day. What a gentleman?
You have our deepest sympathy. You are in our prayers. We know that Uncle Thurman is with his Savior. Love, Mark Tyler Family
