Verba Godsey Johnson age 94, a lifelong resident of England, Arkansas passed away February 11, 2008. She was born October 10, 1913 to the late Quinton and Eva Forrester Godsey.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years Julius Monroe (Bo) Johnson, her parents, two brothers: Q. S. Godsey of North Little Rock and Paul Godsey of England, and one sister: Opal Bevans of England.

Verba was a life long member of the England Church of Christ and gave of her time freely by helping in any way that she could. Verba worked with her husband Bo in their business, the J. M. Johnson Company from the beginning in 1942 until he sold in 1969. She was a member of the England Heritage Club.

She is survived by one daughter Judith Gibbins and husband Lynn of England, one granddaughter, Quendy Gaither of Little Rock and two great grandchildren Emma and Evan.

The family wishes to thank the England Manor for their loving kindness and care to Verba.

Private graveside services will be at 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in the Mulberry Cemetery Chapel.

Mrs. Judy, Mr. Lynn and Quendy.... I don't know where to start. It was a blessing getting to spend the last few years with her. She was such a precious little lady. She always brightened everyone with her radiant smile. I will miss seeing her every morning!!
