James W. "Dub" Martin, 76, of Scott, died January 13, 2008 at his home. He was born December 19, 1931, the son of Ellis Martin and Lois Johnson Martin. He enjoyed 40 years of farming with the Hallum Farms. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of 50 years, Lorene Martin; two brothers, Carl and Bill Martin; one sister, Lereva Moody; one son, Ronnie Martin.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Corbishley (William) of Oak Grove, Arkansas; a son, David Martin (Jeannie) of Scott, Arkansas; two sisters, Margaret Beard (William) and Virginia Collins (Dan), all of Scott; four brothers, Jim Martin (Christine) of Cabot, Arkansas, Danny Martin (Kathy) of Ward, Arkansas, Ellis Martin, Jr. (Kathy) of Scott, and Mike Martin (Phyllis) of Grubbs, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Close friends, Martha, Mike and Troy Shaddon. A special thanks to his niece Kathy Tyson and caregiver, Gertha Dodson and all friends.

Serving as pallbearers are: Mike Martin, Jr., Brandon Martin, Russell Martin, Dillion Martin, Chris Hallum, Roy Curtis. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Shaddon and Troy Shaddon.

Visitation will be held at Roller-England Funeral Home Wednesday, January 16, 2008 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Roller-England Funeral Home Chapel January, 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Herman Edens officiating. Burial will be in Mulberry Cemetery near England.
