Robert G. Nast, 75, of Sulphur Rock died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at his home. He was born November 10, 1932 in Batesville; the son of LaRoy M. and Pearl (Pate) Nast.
Robert was the owner/operator and mechanic at the Nast Exxon and Service Station in Batesville for 15 years. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce (Gilbert) Nast of the home; one son, Robert L. Nast and his wife, Darlene of Sulphur Rock; one daughter, Charlotte Melton and her husband, Clifford W. of Bethesda; seven grandchildren: Latrisha Melton of Batesville, Micaela Melton and Jacinda Melton both of Bethesda, Stacey May of Sulphur Rock, Bradley Hodge of Desha, Justin Goodman of Carlisle, and Charles May of Sulphur Rock; five great-grandchildren: Zoey Hatley of Batesville, Madison Goodman of Carlisle, Hunter Hodge, Ethen Hodge and Logan Hodge all of Desha; two brothers, James Nast of Batesville and Parker Nast of Southside; and one sister, Elizabeth Pearce of Thida; Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Nast and one sister, Virginia Jones.
Graveside services are at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Lee's Chapel Cemetery o Hwy. 25.
Cremations services are by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
