Olen Bud Veal

Olen “Bud” Veal, 79, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, December 06, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas where he lived most of his life. He retired from Craighead Electric with twenty-seven years of service and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was also a member of North Main Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Phillip Veal of Jonesboro; two daughters, Janie Mounce of Jonesboro and Debra Wall Walnut Ridge; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by his wife, Mildred Taylor Veal; his parents, Jeff and Lizzie Veal; one brother, Gerald Veal; and one sister, Helen Flanagan.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with Bert Hargett officiating. Private burial.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
