James R. O’Keane, 74, of Maumelle peacefully passed away on August 21, 2018. He was born January 8, 1944 to Howard and Velma O’Keane. James worked as a car salesman for many years at Landers Auto prior to retirement. He was an avid golfer for many years and was inducted into the Arkansas Golf Hall of Fame on September 21, 2017. He was a member of the National Amputee Golf Association and won six national titles. He was also a member of the Eagle Hill Country Club and won three club championships.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mabel Riggs, Reeda Cecil, Willie Watkins and Nelda Malone; and brother, Don O’Keane. James is survived by his wife of 33 years, Joan Oslica O’Keane; son, Jon Durham (Julie) of West Hartford, CT; grandchildren, Matthew Durham, Cadence “CC” Durham; daughter-in-law, Kristen Moyer (Jeff) all of West Hartford, CT; and sister, Bette Teves of Taylorsville, KY.

Memorial service with Mr. Connie Oslica officiating will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2018 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR (501) 224-8300. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
