Calvin Coolidge Lard  of Jonesboro, AR
May 8, 1925 - May 28, 2018 Calvin Coolidge Lard, 93, of Jonesboro, peacefully passed away Monday, May 28, 2018, at NEA Baptist Hospital, with his three daughters and wife by his side.
Born in Waterloo, Alabama, he was the son of John Robert and Mamie Alice (Webb) Lard. He spent the last 72 years in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII in Pearl Harbor. His career included auto body work in his younger years, automobile claims adjustment agent in his middle working years, and he retired from the Jonesboro High School Vocational School where he was on the inaugural staff for ten years as an auto body instructor. He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and eight siblings, brothers Berlyn Lard, Onus Lard, Kernal Lard, Hubert Lard, Webster Lard, Robert Lard, Ray Lard and sister Roma Dee Lard.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Katherine Lard; three daughters, Alice (Curtis) Martin of Rogers, Amy (Doug) Jordan of Marietta, Georgia, and daughter Emily Lard of Jonesboro; granddaughter Jessica (Chris) Dillon of Jonesboro, grandson Chase Martin of Rogers, and grandson Taylor Jordan of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters Georgia Bellinger of Marion and Nettie Hindman of Tyronza, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 30, at Pine Hill Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Reeves, Eddie Lard, Dennis Lard, Billy Jo Wicker, Randy Lard, Ronnie Meyers, Carol Carr, Tim Norman, Johnny Gatlin and Drew Rudkiin.
