Alma Varnell

January 23, 1946 - December 10, 2017 Alma Varnell, 71 of Subiaco, Arkansas passed away on December 10, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on January 23, 1946 in Russellville, Arkansas to her parents, Herman and Juanita (Nichols) Crowell. She worked for over fifteen years as a Pre-School Director and later retired From Cloyes Gear Company. Alma loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was a member of the Midway Assembly of God Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Juanita (Nichols) Crowell.
She is survived by her husband of fifty five years, Darrell Varnell of Subiaco; one daughter, Mary Ann Harvell and husband John of Muldrow, Oklahoma; two sons, Rickey Varnell and wife Julie of Midway and Herman Varnell and wife Brenda of New Blaine; three sisters, Debbie Cauthren and husband Rickie of Paris, Sophia Elaine Underwood and husband Stephen of Delaware and Hermeta Minden of Paris; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Midway Assembly of God Church officiated by Rev. Rick Nye. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery in St. Louis Valley under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be Jason Varnell, Jeff Varnell, Jesse Varnell, Anthony Newman, Steve Underwood, Michael Antrim and Brady Beasley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Wright and Johnny Hutchins.
