Harold Dwayne Cheek

September 13, 1953 - April 3, 2016 Harold Dwayne Cheek, age 62, of Harrison, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, at his residence. He was born September 13, 1953, in Cameron, Texas, the son of Harold Dean and Daisy Doyle (Barnes) Cheek. His parents and grandparents preceded him in death.
Harold was a prior resident of Pearland, Texas. He built military housing in Bosnia and did residential and commercial carpentry. Harold was recognized for his creative innovation of significant parts for discovery while working for Grumen Aerospace at Johnson Space Center in the 1980s.
Harold enjoyed fishing and hunting but loved caring and developing his beautiful 10 acres and finishing building onto his home he built in 2008. He felt we were so blessed to live in this beautiful area of the Ozarks.
Harold is survived by his significant other, Sheila Bazar, of Harrison; his son, Justin Cheek and his significant other Alison Ramey, of Alvin, Texas; and his grandchildren, Cameron, Josh, and Elizabeth.
He is also survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, James and Brenda Cheek of Alvin, Texas and Danny Cheek of Washington State, and Greg Smith of Kansas City, Kansas; his sisters and brother-in-law, Donne and Roger Jensen, of Washington and Mary Welling of Kansas City, Kansas; and a host of other family and friends.
Memorial service was Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bro. Health Kirkpatrick officiating.
Interment was in George’s Creek Cemetery, Yellville, Arkansas.
