Mrs. Rose Marie Smithson Clark (Tracy), age 86, of Mountain Home passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014. She was born March 14, 1928 in Calico Rock, Arkansas, to Henry and Sarah Churchill. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, J.B. Smithson, Sr. of Calico Rock, her second husband, James R. Clark of Flippin and her son, James Bruce Smithson, Jr. of Mountain Home.

She was lovingly known as "Momma Rose" by, not only her own grandchildren but also, to most who knew her. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mountain Home. She was among the first twelve employees hired by Baxter Laboratories in 1964 and was a loyal employee until her retirement in 1984.

She is survived by her spouse, Gerald Tracy, of Mountain Home, her sister, Gorgie Guthrie of Calico Rock, 3 daughters: Mary Jean Smithson (Raymond) Wells of Mountain Home, Mahala Ruth Smithson (Dwight) Brixey of Cheyenne, WY, and Shonda Stacye (Lance) Rocke of Maumelle, AR, one daughter-in-law, Penelope Smithson of Mountain Home, 6 granddaughters and 6 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Roller Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Stephens officiating. A visitation will be Monday from Noon until 9:00 p.m. with family receiving friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Roller Funeral Home. Interment will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Calico Rock, Arkansas.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
