Shirley Ann Morgan

December 16, 1935 - October 3, 2012 Shirley Ann Cantrell Morgan, 76, of England, Arkansas died October 3rd, 2012 in her home. She was born December 16th, 1935 to Dorothy Burgess Henderson and the late Marvin Cantrell of Coy, Arkansas.
She is survived by her beloved husband of thirty-nine years, D. B. “Jack” Morgan of England; brother, Emmitt (Kaye) Henderson of Hot Springs, Arkansas; step-daughter, Jill (Chip) Tausch of England; step-brothers, Travis Buerkle of England and Buerke Buerkle (Sharon) of Maumelle; step-sister, Joy (Ken) Rush of Stuttgart and her aunt, Hazel Travis of England. She leaves behind many loving, adoring cousins and caregivers and of course her dear pet, Chi Chi Rhodrigez.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father and mother and step-father Basel Henderson and step mother Juanita Buerkle Henderson; a son, Jimmy Boggess Jr.; grandparents, Ida and Emmitt Burgess of Coy.
She graduated England High School in nineteen, fifty-three. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the UMW. She attended Monticello College for Young Women in Alton, Illinois, was an Undergraduate in studies of Fine Arts; she was with the March of Dimes State and national Coordinator 1961-1963.
Shirley continued her love of art and philanthropy throughout her lifetime, serving more than twenty-five years of dedication in General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GRWC) Starting as member of England Cosmopolitan Club on the state level of Arkansas GFWC serving as Secretary then Vice President before retiring for health reasons. Shirley was an accomplished Portrait artist and enjoyed capturing scenes of nature on canvas too. She had many exhibits in the Arkansas Territorial Capital in Little Rock.
Services are by Roller England Funeral Home (501) 842-3939. There will be a graveside service Friday, October 5th, 2012 at 10:00 A. M. at Mulberry Cemetery in England. She will lie in state at Roller England Funeral Home Chapel. The family wish memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 200 N. E. First, England, Arkansas 72046.
