May 13, 1948 - May 4, 2012 Mary “Mitzi” Higgins, 63, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Friday, May 04, 2012 at Memphis, Tennessee. Mrs. Higgins was born May 13, 1948 at Fort Smith, Arkansas to George Herman Lux and Jacqueline Ann Cathey Lux. Mitzi was a member and secretary of the Democratic Committee of Phillips County for many years.
She is survived by her husband of almost 45 years, L. Ashley Higgins; three sons, Jonathan Higgins (Amanda) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Charles Higgins (Lorena) of Navarre Beach, Florida, and Philip Higgins (Taylor) of West Helena, Arkansas; two daughters, Sarah Higgins and Hannah Higgins, both of Helena; three grandchildren, Wesley, Mollie and John Higgins; and her parents, George and Jackie Lux of Little Rock, Arkansas.
A private memorial for Mitzi Higgins will be held at a later date.
