Cathryn Elizabeth Brown

March 1, 1923 - February 23, 2012 Cathryn Elizabeth Brown, age 88, of Benton passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Heartland Rehab and Care Center. She was born March 1, 1923 in McCrory, Arkansas to James and Oma Rooks VanLandingham. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Clyde Brown, her parents; brother, Richard; and son, Larry Brown.
She is survived by her sister Jewell Howell of McCrory, brother Leon VanLandingham of Wynne, daughter Veronica (Brown) Stracener and son-in-law Richard; her grandchildren, Doug Stracener and wife Cindy, Kristy Fulmer and husband Denton, Angela White and husband Paul, and Kerry Hobbs and husband Jason, all of Benton. Great grandchildren include Joshua Denison, Kally Leeman, Katy Stracener, Tiffany Leeman, Olivia Suggs, Zach White, Bret Stracener, Trent White, and Jaycee Hobbs. She is also survived by two great-great grandchildren, Braydon Denison and Avery Davenport.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) with Bro. Frank Thurman officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. Pallbearers are Doug Stracener, Jason Hobbs, Denton Fulmer, Zachary White, Bret Stracener, Paul White, and Trent White.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the funeral home.
