C. E. “Pete” Biddle, Jr. age 81, of Mountain Home, Arkansas died Sunday March 21, 2004 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was born to his parents Chester and Lucy Benson Biddle on September 9, 1922 in Bay, Arkansas. Mr. Biddle was in the Navy and served in WWII and also served 2 years in the South Pacific. His hobbies included woodworking, gardening, farming; was a mason and a member of the First Baptist Church of Mountain Home.
He is survived by his wife, Alverna Biddle of the home; 1 son: Larry Biddle and wife Barbara of Mountain Home; 3 Daughters: Judy Ann Story and husband Grady of Star City, AR; Sandra Biddle of Mountain Home; and Rebecca Lee Smith and husband Jeff of Rogersville, MO: 1 Sister; Christine Reagan of Jonesboro, AR: 2 Brothers: W. R. “Bob” Biddle of Mountain Home; and Wallace Biddle and wife Dorothy of Batesville, AR; 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister Nellie Mae Stanley and 1 grandson Russell Cameron Story.
Funeral services will be 11a.m. Tuesday March 23, 2004 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dr. David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Baxter Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon – 9:00 p.m. Monday March 22, 2004 with family receiving friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are by the Roller Funeral Home.
