Delmer Lee O’Bar, 85, of Scranton, Arkansas went to be with his Lord on Friday, August 5, 2011 in Paris, Arkansas. He was born on January 12, l926 in Paris to his parents Marion and Reth (Dicks) O’Bar. Delmer served in WWII with the United States Army and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. Delmer was a retired supervisor for California Portland Cement Company in Colton, California and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Paris.

Delmer is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Reth O’Bar, his wife, Willene (Turner) O’Bar, one son-in-law Dennis Crane, one sister, Magdaline Kuykendall, two brothers, Elmo O’Bar and Milton O’Bar and four great grandchildren.

Delmer leaves behind one son, Jim O’Bar and wife Paula of Paris, one daughter, Debi Crane of Scranton, one sister, Corina Buckner of Caulksville, two brothers, Sidney O’Bar of Ozark and Kenneth O’Bar of Clovis, California, five grandchildren, Vince O’Bar and wife Wendy of Houston, Danielle Tencleve of Scranton, Dena Street and husband Wally of Scranton, D.J. Crane and wife Nichole of Danville and Dawn Crane of Scranton, eleven great grandchildren, Halli Tencleve, Nicholas O’Bar, David O’Bar, Kytan Tencleve, Josh Street, John O’Bar, Hudson Crane, Gracie Crane, Jake Crane, Mary O’Bar and Wyatt Crane.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Kenny Maness. Burial will be at McKendree Cemetery in Subiaco with military honors under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

Pallbearers will be Vince O’Bar, Nicholas O’Bar, David O’Bar, John O’Bar, D.J. Crane, Wally Street, Josh Street and Marvin Wiggins.
