Richard “Dick” Edward Griffith, 81, of Elaine, Arkansas passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 in Helena, Arkansas. Richard was born September 22, 1929 to the late Edgar Griffith and Bessie Irene Posey in Brinkley, Arkansas.

Richard is survived by his wife, Charleen Griffith; son, Richard Edward Griffith, Jr. of Eads, Tennessee.; daughter, Patricia Griffith Darby (Ed) of Cordova, Tennessee.; step -son, Paul Sellers (Bennett) of Moon Lake, Mississippi; step- daughter, Jennifer S. Allison (Richard) of Mt. Washington, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene Parker (Kenneth) of Elaine; 2 brothers, Charles R. Griffith (Kathleen) of Elaine and James E. Griffith (Helen) of El Paso, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Chad Lawing; 2 sisters, Elease Wheeler and Violet Yarbrough; and ex-wife June S. Griffith.

Funeral services for Richard Griffith will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Cypert Church of Christ near Marvell, Arkansas. Brother Mark Spencer will officiate. Visitation will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home from 6-8 p. m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2010.
