Betty Ruth McDermott

Betty Ruth McDermott, of Bonita Springs, Florida, formerly of Mountain Home, departed this life on Friday, December 17, 2004. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on April 13, 1922, the daughter of Clarence and Isabelle Key Hunt. On November 15, 1940, she married Lloyd E. McDermott in St. Louis. Before his death in 2001, they celebrated their 60th. wedding anniversary.
She loved her family and they loved her. Her life was centered on her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She had a beautiful talent for writing and was naturally artistic. She was busy buying and wrapping presents, sending cards and planning menus in preparation for Christmas when the Lord called her home.
She is survived by her children: Gary (Janie) McDermott, Judy (Robert) Nosari, Terry (Renee’) McDermott, Jill (Jeff) Vannatter, and Tammy (Greg) Hallam; grandchildren: Kelly and Ryan McDermott, Robyn Barnes, Stacy Willard, Robert Nosari, Jr. and Chris Nosari, Jared McDermott and Erin Dennis, Joshua and Jessica Coley, Jordan, Carly, Taylor and Chase Hallam; great-grandchildren: Holden McDermott, Mackenzie, Connor, Olivia, Mary-Claire and Robinson Barnes, Molly, Bailey, Gabriel and Joseph Elders, Hunt and Chloe Nosari and Jeremiah Coley; step-great-grandchildren: Holly, Jake and Jackson Willard, Lyndon Carden, Cassie and Matt Johnson; her sisters: Jane Berkley and Margaret Ochs and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one sister: Dorothy, and her infant brother: Clarence.
Reverend Ken Taglauer of Redeemer Lutheran Church will conduct the funeral service to be held at Roller Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be from noon until service time with the family receiving friends. Interment will follow at Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Her seven grandsons will be pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church-Hearts Ablaze Fund or Hospice of the Ozarks Building Fund.
