Wesley Wright, 79, of Batesville died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
He was born in O’Neal, Arkansas on May 27, 1930 and was the son of James D. Wright and Gertrude (Boyer) Wright. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Wesley was a line processor at Con-Agra and farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working with his bees and extracting their honey. After serving in the Army, he worked for Vande Kamps Bakery until 1969; then he moved back to Arkansas from California to help his parents on their farm.
He is survived by his son, Gary Wright of Batesville; two daughters: Beverly J. Semm and her husband, Keith of Grandview, Texas and Barbara Shaw and her husband, Glen of North Little Rock; six grandchildren: Angela Savage, Ryan Koser, James D. Wright, Sara Wright, Gary Wright, Jr., and Brian Wright; and one brother, Carl Wayne Wright of California.
Wesley was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Turner, Bill Galagher, Lavon Womack, Gary Wright, Brian Wright, Keith Semm, Glenn Brooks and Scott Hook.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Campground Cemetery in Bethesda with Bro. Adam Longo officiating and under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
There will be no visitation.
