CW04 Frank (Ret.) Edwin Rowan
of Redfield, AR
April 10, 1928 - September 30, 2009 CW04 (Ret.) Frank Edwin Rowan, 81 of Redfield, Arkansas, formerly of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2009. He was born April 10, 1928 in New York City, New York to the late Frank E. Rowan and Christina Bieg Rowan. He retired from the U.S. Army where he flew helicopters in Vietnam and served 16 years in the U.S. Navy prior. He earned a Purple Heart and was a POW. He served during WW II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Eilene Spellacy.
He is survived by two sons, Frank Edwin Rowan III and wife, Cathy of Oakwood, Georgia; Zachary Rowan and wife, Elizabeth Ann of Redfield, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Travis Rowan and his wife, Spirit; Tiffany Amanda Tuck; Lucas Rowan and wife, Lacey; Jason Rowan and fiancée, Katie Sentner; Josh Rowan and wife, Carrie Anne; four great grandchildren, Rori Rowan, Liam Rowan, Lily Rowan and Davis Rowan; one brother, Paul Rowan and his wife, Sue of Branford, Connecticut and a host of other family and friends.
CW04 Rowan’s cremains will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
