Jesse Everett (Jay) Norfleet, Jr., 51, of West Memphis, AR, passed away Friday July 24, 2009 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN after a brief illness. He was Secretary/Treasurer and a Director of Guaranty Loan & Real Estate Co. in West Memphis, founded by his grandfather, the late Jack W. Rich in 1938. He graduated from Memphis University School and Washington and Lee University. He was preceded in death by his wife, Penny Cash Norfleet, his mother, Sara Rich Larkey and his father, Jesse Everett Norfleet. He and his wife were patrons of the Crittenden Arts Council and several other organizations. He was a member of the Krewe of Tucks and participated in their annual parade during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday July 28, 2009 in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR. Memorials may be sent to the J.W. Rich Girls Club of West Memphis or to the Crittenden Arts Council of West Memphis.
