Antonietta “Tony” Chiaro, 92, of Little Italy, went to be with her Lord on January 10, 2009. She was born on June 11, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Sperandio and Antonietta Succini Ghidotti. She married John Chiaro in Little Italy, Arkansas on December 28, 1938. She was a homemaker and a member of the Altar Society at St. Francis Catholic Church. She loved cutting grass, embroidering, gardening, playing dominoes, skit-scat, poker and bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, John Chiaro, her twin brother, Johnny, brothers Norbert, Louis, Angelo, and Reno Ghidotti; sisters, Catherine Segalla and Louise Segalla; grandson, Michael Chiaro, and son-in-law, Jack Rankin.

She is survived by three sons, Vincent Chiaro, and wife, Toni, of Little Italy, Anthony “Tony” Chiaro, and companion, Earnie Matheson of Little Rock, and Johnny Chiaro and wife, Sharon, of Little Rock; one daughter, Marie Rankin of Little Italy; “adopted” daughter, Jerry Fokken, of Bigelow; eight grandchildren John Chiaro, Robert Chiaro, Jackie Rankin and wife, Cindi, Melissa Eggerling and husband, Christian, Michelle Chiaro and companion, Ron Andes, Charlotte Rankin, Mark Chiaro and wife, Carrie, and Angela Chiaro; fourteen great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at St. Francis Catholic Church, with Father Richard Davis as celebrant. Interment will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Little Italy, Arkansas.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2009, followed by a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m., at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, (501)224-8300.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church, 20 St. Boniface Drive, Bigelow, Arkansas 72016.
