Barbara Austin Bassett, 72, of Jonesboro, Arkansas died Tuesday 14, 2008 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

She was born in Arkansas on December 7, 1935 into the family of Albert Guy and Lily Edna Jimmerson. She was a homemaker and was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Daisy Lee Terry and son-in-law Steve Terry, SR of Osceola, AR; six grandchildren, Steve Terry, JR, Heather Terry, Breanna Terry, Courtney Terry, Christen Terry and LaWanda Wright; brother, Lynn Jimmerson and wife Margaret of South Carolina; five sisters, Peggy Barbee of Jonesboro, Margaret Jackson and husband Julius, Letheta Gill, Jane Erikson, Mary Ballard and husband Mark all of Rockford, IL; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Sonny Baskin.

Proceded in death by her husband, Howard Austin, and two brothers Charles and Wayne Jimmerson and parents, Albert Guy and Lily Edna Jimmerson

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Roller-Swift Funeral Home Chapel with Wynndel King officiating. Burial will follow in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Roller-Swift Funeral Home.
