David Aukai Brighter “Pops”, 71, of North Little Rock departed his mortal life and went to be with Jesus on July 4, 2008. He was born November 24, 1936, in Kamuela, Hawaii, to the late William Brighter and Helen Pou. He was a retired from Dassault Falcon Jet after over 42 years of service and was a proud member of the “Dinosaur Club”, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church where he was an active member in the Men’s Club.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 42 years, Ginger; sons, Terry Brighter and wife, Kim of Sherwood and Tony Brighter and wife, Angi of Conway; grandchildren, Heather Brighter, Jake Brighter, Emmitt Hiser, and Amanda Hiser; great-grandchildren, Tanner Hiser and Anthony Hiser; sister, Fannie Moniz of Hawaii; uncle Eddie Brighter of Kentucky and cousin, Reggie Lindsey of Washington; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2008, Rosary, and celebration of his life to follow at 7 p.m., Tuesday, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 6150 Remount Road, North Little Rock, with Deacon Ron Stager officiating.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at the church with Reverend Father Jim Ward officiating. Arrangements made by Roller-Owens Funeral Home (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans’ Cemetery.
