James Robert Lawson
of Mabelvale, AR
April 1, 1942 - June 25, 2008 James Robert Lawson, 66 of Mabelvale died June 25, 2008. James was a retired maintenance employee of Yoder Manufacturing Company, also self-employed refrigeration and air conditioning service repairman.
Preceded in death by two sons, James Jr. and Allen Edward and daughter, Patricia Ann Lawson; mother, Bessie Duncan and aunt, Bama McCall who raised him; brothers, Jackie and Gary Duncan and stepfather, William Duncan, Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bobbie Jean Lawson and daughter, Donna Basham of North Little Rock; son, James R. Lawson III of Little Rock; a sister, Lorene (Tracy) Duncan Yates of Hot Springs; five grandchildren, Elvis, Aron, Price, Elizabeth and Jamie Evans, James R. Lawson IV and Whitney Necole Lawson; and great grandson, Noah Evans.
The family would like to thank Dr. C.D. Williams and Nurse Lori Holden for their professional care and great friendship during the 27 years that James had heart illness.
