Laura Alice Bufford
of Drasco, AR
March 19, 1937 - January 13, 2008 Laura “Alice” Bufford, 70, of Drasco died Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Baptist Health Center in Little Rock.
She was born March 19, 1937 in Colorado Springs, Colorado; the daughter of Jeff and Bertie (York) Sherrill. Alice enjoyed going to church and was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed doing the crossword puzzles in the T. V. Guide and bingo. Alice enjoyed living at the Mill Heights Independent Living Center where she had many friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Lynn Gammill Earnhart of Drasco; seven grandchildren: Autumn Earnhart, Winter Earnhart, Jodel Huls, Jana Stieb, Chantry Stieb, John Huls and Mary Brennan; great-grandchildren: Legend Mason Huls and James John Stieb. Other survivors include nieces and nephews: Darlene Sue Earnhart, Debra Coon, Kristie Rowland and Diane Hack; and great-nieces and nephews: Jeremy Greenlee, Earnie Greenlee, Jamie Holt, Robert Coon, Joseph Coon, Tessa Coon and Kaitlyn Lynch.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two children: James Lee Stieb, Louise Gammill; and two sisters, Dorothy Kirkland and Agnes Sherrill.
Pallbearers are John Huls, Chantry Stieb, William Arnold, Whitney Smith, Barbara Brennan, Jonathan Hollands and Travis Turner.
Honorary pallbearers are John Huls, Chantry Stieb, Barbara Brennan and Amanda Voss
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Friendship Cemetery in Drasco with Olive Waters and Floyd Templin officiating.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Graveside services are by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
