Charles J. Clem

December 17, 1929 - September 17, 2007 Charles J. Clem, 77, of Corning, passed away on Monday September 17, 2007 at St. Bernards. He worked in timber when he was younger, at Singer in maintenance, and at Hart’s Furniture. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife Frances Adams Clem of the home; two daughters, Sheila Shipman of Corning and Patsy Banks of Bay; one son, Robert Clem of Belleview FL; one brother, W.D. “Doc” Clem of Trumann; a sister, Venita Green of Tuckerman; seven grandchildren, Rodney Clem, Matthew Banks, Nathanael Clem, Nicholas Clem, Tiffany Whitman, Justin Whitman and Whitney Shipman; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by is parents, Emmit and Nanny Clem; four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include his grandsons.
