Dorothy Faye (Arms) Shaw, 87, of Cave City passed away May 4, 2022.
She was born on December 1, 1934 in Charlotte, Arkansas to Walter and Edith (Bradley) Arms.
Dorothy was a member of the New Prospect Landmark Missionary Baptist Church at Charlotte and was also a member of the Home Extension Club of Independence County. She loved her Lord, church, family, friends and neighbors, and her community. She also enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Razorback Basketball, spending time with her family, gardening, and flowers.
Survivors include her husband, whom she married November 22, 1952, Roy Shaw of the home; one son, Rickey Lee Shaw (Debbie) of Batesville; one brother, Orville Ray Arms of Charlotte; two sisters, Shirley Maye Ward of Cord, and Peggy Jane Melton of Cord; three grandsons, Larry Alan Shaw (Helen) of Charlotte, Michael Gene Shaw of Charlotte, and James Derrick Shaw (Audra) of Springdale; one granddaughter, Brittney Leigh Hightower (Ben) of Rogers; and seven great-grandchildren, Michael Evan Shaw, Allison Jean Shaw, Logan Gene Shaw, Cooper James Hightower, Aubree Elise Shaw, Savannah Quinn Hightower, and Beckham Shaw Hightower.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter, Carolyn Shaw, and her son, Larry Gene Shaw.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Emerson, Alan Shaw, Mike Shaw, Derrick Shaw, Evan Shaw, Logan Shaw, and Ben Hightower. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the New Prospect Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. David Benson and Bro. Ben Hightower officiating. Burial will follow at Center Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville .
Memorials may be made to New Prospect Landmark Missionary Baptist Church 1105 Shamrock Ln, Sulphur Rock, AR 72579.

Sorry to hear of Mrs. Dorothy's passing, but we know she has been promoted to a better place. When we first got married and lived on the ranch, Roy and Dorothy came to visit us and we talk about it often. They are special people and any time we would see Bro. David Benson we asked about the Shaws. We have fond memories of them and their visits. We also enjoyed visiting New Prospect Baptist Church.
