July 21, 1942 - February 23, 2021
Nancy K. Myers Jeffery, 78, of Little Rock passed away February 23, 2021.
Born to Hassel Evans and Mary Wanda (Gray) Myers in Little Rock on July 21, 1942, Nancy grew up and lived most of her life in Batesville where she was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization as well as the Junior Auxiliary. She also served as a Cub Scout den mother.
Nancy loved kids and her yard was often full of the neighborhood kids playing and enjoying the cookies and lemonade that Nancy always had for them.
The quintessential extrovert, Nancy never met a stranger and was always there for anyone in need of a kind word or a supportive hug. And while she enjoyed playing golf, tennis and bridge with friends her favorite activity by far was dancing.
Nancy's work life also reflected her love for people. She worked as a secretary in the Lonoke Elementary and Middle schools. She later returned to Batesville where she was a co-owner of Fitzhugh's Clothing Store for many years. She later worked as a real estate agent, serving on the Batesville Board of Realtors.
Survivors include one daughter, Ginger Jeffery (Bart Handford) of Little Rock; two brothers, Evans Myers (Carol) of Greers Ferry, John Myers (Shelley) of Little Rock; one sister, Beth Brown of Lenoir City, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Alyssa Jeffery, Carlos Jeffery, Mandy Jeffery; sisters-in-law, Lucy Yeager (Danny) and Judy Jeffery; nieces, Olivia Jeffery Ralston, Caroline Yeager Peiserich, Kathy Yeager Lanier, Melissa Myers Proffitt; nephews, Kevin Brown, Braxtol Myers and Joe Myers.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dr. Chuck Jeffery; one brother, Gray Myers, a brother-in-law, Jim Brown and a niece, Karen Brown Henson.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 22 at 1:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Batesville.

I miss Nancy very much. I communicated with her by phone for many years after our high school graduation and saw her when I returned to Batesville for visits. It always lifted my spirits to talk with her. My sincerest sympathy goes to you, Ginger, and your extended family.
Beautiful Nancy will be missed.
Nancy is going to be missed by many. We used to talk two or three times a week. Those talks have been missed by me terribly. Growing up together we had a lot of good memories and so much fun. I loved my dear friend very much and miss our talks and the laughing we always shared. My condolences go out to her family.
Nancy had an outstanding and fun personality! She will be missed. Our prayers are with you all.
Ginger:

May God wrap His loving arms around you and your family more than ever during this time. Our prayers are with you all.
In Christian Love,

Ginger,
Sending my prayers to you and all your family. I loved your mother when we were children in Lonoke. When I cleaned out boxes and cabinets this last year, I found a cute little Hallmark book she had given to me (probably 50! years ago) and it brought back great memories. I just wanted you to know how long and how fondly your mom lived in people’s memories.
So many will know of the great loss of this wonderful person...Nancy joins her wonderful kin...in God Heave

Mrs Nancy was one of those people that touched many. She was such a fun, spunky lady. I never tired of her story’s and took every piece of advice she gave to heart. She will be so missed. I know she’s up in heaven dancing in the streets of gold and making everyone smile.
