Jesse Gilbert Bergeron, age 83, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Friday July 29, 2022 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Jesse was born April 19, 1939 in Campti, Louisiana to the late Lee and Daisy (Fulton) Bergeron. He was a United States Army veteran. Jesse graduated from Northwestern University in Louisiana and got his Masters from Ole Miss. He started his education career teaching math. In 1983 he moved with his family to Yellville, where he was principal at Yellville-Summit from 1984 to 2000. He drove the bus for any occasion until 2016.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Nancy, of the home; his son, Jason Bergeron (Hesi) of Vienna, Austria; his daughter, Eleanor Davenport (Jason) of Yellville; two stepsons, Grant Dearmore (Dana) and Nick Dearmore (Beth) all of Yellville; his sister, Bobbie Middleton (Marcus) of Texarkana, Texas; nine grandchildren, Hunter Dearmore, Peyton Davenport, Avery Dearmore, Lucy Bergeron, Ethan Dearmore, Jacey Davenport, Matilda Bergeron, Greyson Dearmore and Cord Dearmore.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lou Bergeron.

Visitation will be 5:00 7:00 pm. Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church in Yellville.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church in Yellville, with Pastor Keith Fink, Rev Dick Shinkle, Bro. Rick Pyron and Jason Bergeron officiating.

Interment will follow at Layton Cemetery in Yellville.

Pallbearers will be Jason Davenport, Peyton Davenport, Ethan Dearmore, Matt Parker, Josh Parker and Gabe Parker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Bates, Mike Kelly, Rick Keeter, Jerry Don Cunningham, John Dwyer, Yellville-Summit Faculty and Staff.

We are so sad at the loss of Jesse. It was Mike’s wish that we could make a trip to visit Jesse and Nancy as soon as Mike recovered enough to travel.
Jesé was a truly great man and we are praying for all of you as you go through this time of grief.
