We are Marjorie's Ky cousins and knew her all of our life. Charlotte and Marjorie were born 6 months apart and were playmates at their Pfister grandparent's farm near Fordsville, Ky. They made many happy and funny memories there. Marjorie & Charlotte had our Aunt Nola for their teacher in the 4th grade. Being related to the teacher did not give them any special privileges; in fact, they felt she expected more of them than she did of the other students. Marjorie knew family history and graciously helped Joyce compile information for several Pfister Family Newsletters. Loyce remembers the enjoyable times she had with Marjorie and what a pleasant person she was. We loved her dearly and will miss her very much. It is not possible for us to be there Saturday, but we will always cherish the wonderful memories of our lovely Christian cousin.

Mrs. Kirby was my home ec teacher for 3 years. In 1972 we went to the National FHA Convention in Los Angeles. Mrs. Kirby had never flown and when we were taking off, she had her fingers in her ears, her eyes closed and kept saying over and over "it"s just a big bus!" We had a wonderful time. She came to my dad, mom and sister's funerals which meant so much to me. She was also a sponsor for our senior class of 1973 and came to many of our reunions. She was a great lady and teacher and I know she will be missed. Wishing prayers and peace for her family. She had a good life.

She was my teacher in High School, and later when I worked at Park Hill Presbyterian Church, she was my friend.
She loved people and was a very kind soul.
I just saw this and it brought back wonderful memoires of Mrs. Kirby.
I am blessed to have known her.

I enjoyed having Mrs. Kirby as a neighbor to my parents & grandparents for several years on Hillside Drive. She was faithful to her Lord, church, husband & children, was a joy to be around & near. Although it has been a number of years since I had seen her, revisiting my memories of her were filled with kindness. I know that she is worshipping with my parents around the throne right now.
