Rosa Lee Anderson Scarbrough, age 89, of Helena, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. She was born on Tuesday, April 18, 1933 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Lee Price Anderson and Flora Bell Wilson. Rosa Lee received her AA degree from Stephens College in Columbia, MO in 1953 and her BSED in 1955 from the University of Arkansas where she was President of her Chi Omega Pledge Class of 1953.
She coached basketball/track and taught school at Marvell Academy for 10 years and Desoto School for 10 years, where she also served as Dean of Students. She taught her last 10 years at Central High School. Rosa Lee was a member of Marvell United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Don "Skip" Scarbrough Jr. (Cheryl) of Helena, Arkansas; two daughters, Rosa Lee Scarbrough of Uganda, Africa and Bobbe Schieffler (Eddie) of West Helena; four grandchildren, Blake Doster (Shaye), Jackson Schieffler (Jordan), Sydney Anderson Schieffler (Paxton) and Beth Ann Scarbrough; 2 great grandchildren, Estelle Doster and Martha Byrne Schieffler and one niece, Rose Mary Tilson of Memphis, TN.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Scarbrough Sr. and one sister, Ann McCroskey.
A memorial service for Rosa Lee Anderson Scarbrough will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Marvell United Methodist Church in Marvell, Arkansas. Brother Kenny Lee will officiate.

We met when we both taught at Central. Always remember one piece of advice she gave me: Don't use your sick days when you are sick. Use them for other fun things!
