Lena DeJarnatte, age 78, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at her home in Poplar Grove, Arkansas. She was born October 13, 1943 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Bessie Moody Morrell and H.W. "Bill" Morrell. Lena attended First Baptist Church in Marvell. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is best known for her great love of the Word of God, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Lena will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her two sons, Billy B. DeJarnatte and Gary DeJarnatte (Renee) both of Poplar Grove; daughter, Pam DeJarnatte Wildschuetz (Alan) of Little Rock, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Meagan Miller, Cameran McWilliams, Shelby Loyd, and Lanie DeJarnatte; nine great grandchildren, Nora, Wes, Breckin, Lakyn, Elliott, Ryan, Jaxon, Bentley, and Enslee; brother, Charles Henry Morrell (Jo) of North Little Rock, Arkansas; a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, George William "Billy" DeJarnatte; parents; and one brother, James A. Thomas. A graveside service for Mrs. Lena DeJarnatte will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Roller-Citizens Chapel. Reverend Chase Green and Brother Marcus Hoover will officiate. Pallbearers are Bobby Carey, Sr., Dennis Coleman, Madison Oxner, Jr., Mark Oxner, Ed Wallace, and James Allen Wallace. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.Services are directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870)-572-2571. Dearest Pam, Billy, Gary and Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren of Mrs. Lena....I was so sorry for all of you and all of us her friends for her loss of this life but Praising the Lord for I know Mrs. Lena is in her Heavenly Home with Jesus and pain free and so peaceful. Mrs. Lena was a previous Christian lady who loved everyone. She loved to talk about the Lord and how Blessed she was. My prayer is for all of you now that the Lord will wrap His loving arms around each of you in the following days, weeks, months and years and the moments and give you peace, comfort, strength and understanding. Pam, Gary and Billy, I am so very sorry and I will be praying for ya'll in the months ahead. I know she is healed and worshiping our Savior right now. I'm so thankful for the hope we have in Jesus.

Those of her age group grew up calling her Lena Mae. What an example of a loving, caring mother who loved to read her Bible. I will miss chatting with her. All I will have to do is look up and smile.
