W.C. "Dub" Hedrick

of Little Rock, AR

July 26, 1950 - May 17, 2022

W.C. "Dub" Hedrick, 71, of Little Rock in the East End community, passed away Tuesday, May 17th, 2022. He was born on July 26, 1950, in Searcy, Arkansas, to Leroy and Bernia Hedrick.

Dub was a hardworking Christian who lived such a full life. He moved mobile homes for over 30 years. In that time, he started his own business, ''Hedrick Mobile Home Movers.'' He accomplished these things with the support of his favorite person, his wife. They loved their life together, raising their family in the home Dub built. He was an active father, involved and/or present in his kids sports and activities. He loved taking his family snow skiing, fishing, deer hunting, beach trips, floating the river and several other places. His personal hobbies included crappie and bream fishing, hunting in earlier years and playing and picking bluegrass with singing. Nothing gave Dub greater joy than knowing his wife was alongside him, enjoying it too.

He spent a lifetime witnessing to others in countless ways. He taught Sunday school for many years, spoke at many different churches when asked, ordained weddings and officiated at funeral services throughout his life.

He felt strongly about our community and bringing everyone together for God. With the help of Billy Kilmer, Dub put together the Tri-County Crusade. This led to many of all three counties coming together in revival. Dub and his wife enjoyed being a part of East Union Baptist Church.

Dub is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbye Hedrick; son, Luke Hedrick (Casey); daughters, Kim Cheesman (Frank) and Staci Jones (Clint); grandchildren, Zac Cheesman, Brennan and Cohen Hedrick; mother, Bernia Hedrick; sister, Mary Bisbee (Larry); mother-in-law, Pat Crowell; like sons to Dub, Bo Williams and Steve Resh and hosts of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Hedrick and brother, Alvin Hedrick.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 20th, 2:00 P.M., at East Union Baptist Church, 20422 N Springlake Road, Hensley, AR 72065, in East End community.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at 1:00 P.M.

Debbie,
I am so sorry to hear that Dub has gone, but knowing that he is in a much better and brighter place with no pain or illness is the only thing that makes it even close to bearable. I can’t imagine what heartache and stress you have been under for so long. So sorry I was unable to attend his visitation and funeral as I am out of state. But you and your family have been on my mind and in my heart.
Love,
Dona

Prayers for you Debbye and your family.
I knew him growing up as W.C. and not as “Dub”. We were in 4-H and went to school together. Evidently he continued being a very special friend to many. He was man enough to stand firm for our GOD!! So very proud of him and you both for the adventure GOD had you on which touched so many lives.
Prayers for GOD’s strength and comfort as you face each new day without him.
Love
Kathy

I met Dub about three and a half years ago when he and Debbye joined EU. Dub and Elroy Brown took me in as a friend immediately and completely while showing great patience with me as I began to learn guitar. My heart reaches out to the family as they go through this long mourning process. Dub changed people when he interacted with them. I’m proud to say that Dub was a friend to me. God Bless.
