James Joseph Charlton, 89, of Finger, Tennessee, passed away on January 31, 2023. HE was born on July 20, 1933, to Mr. Daniel Dexter Charlton and Mrs. Annie Eliza Burk in Marvell, AR.
His hobbies included watching cowboy shows especially, John Wayne movies and Gunsmoke. He enjoyed the outdoors and often could be found hunting and fishing. He adored his family and regularly invited them over to eat and spend time with them. James was also a proud United States Army Veteran.
He will be remembered fondly by his two daughters, Susan Cole (Frank) and Laney Copper Giddens (Terry); grandchildren, James Joseph Charlton IV, Shawna Brewer (Scott), Dewayne Richards (Heather), Ben, Lauren and Cody Cole; Great-Grandchildren, Aubrey Markley (Hunter), Ian Charlton, Cameron Brewer, Piper Charlton, Cole Richards, Cade Richards and Paisley Charlton; two sisters, Mary Lou Delk (Larry) and Brenda Dunlap (Jessie).
Preceding him in death was his wife Anne F. Charlton, parents, and one son, James Joseph Charlton III.
