of Cherry Valley, AR
March 9, 1956 - April 15, 2022
Ralph Howard Walker of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, left us for his heavenly home on Friday, April 15, 2022, while in St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on a Friday too, March 9, 1956, in Wynne, Arkansas, to A.H. ''Howard'' Walker and Betty Jean Jennings.
He enjoyed working on auto engines and was often known to have several bushel baskets sitting on the shop floor filled with all engine parts. The next day, that engine would be back in the frame and running. Drag racing was his passion and he lived for weekends to hit the track.
Survivors include his mother, Betty J. Walker of Wynne, sisters Jenny Walker of Cherry Valley, and Faith McCormick (Chuck) of Wynne, and a niece Haley Elrod of Wynne, as well as a lifetime collection of good friends.
He was preceeded in death by his father, A.H. ''Howard'' Walker Jr., and grandparents L.H. and Mattie Jennings, and A.H. And Ruby Walker.
Thank you for being a friend to my dad, Mike. My deepest condolences to the family.
Hugs and prayers
Prayers for the family! He was one of my students. He was such a sweet guy! I had not seen him in a long time. I went back to work at the hospital after Covid slowed down and there was Ralph! It was so good to see and visit with him. I will always have sweet memories of him.
I was so sorry to hear of Ralph’s passing! My thoughts and prayers are with his family!
