Bobby Glen Smith, 76, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away on January 12, 2021 peacefully in his sleep.
Bob was born on January 16, 1944 in Big Flat, Arkansas to the late Delbert and Clara Smith. He attended school at Big Flat and Fifty Six.
He worked at many jobs throughout his life. He worked at the gas company, Mitchell's Used Cars, and did paint and body work.
He enjoyed deer hunting, camping, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by one brother, Roger (Cheryl) Smith of Edmond, Oklahoma and one sister Pat (Junior) Deatherage of Fifty Six, Arkansas and a host of nieces and nephews and a special friend Glenda Rose.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Whitfield Smith; his daughter, Donna Smith; his father, Delbert Smith; his mother, Clara Hamby Smith Corter; one brother, Gene Smith and two sisters, Mary Mitchell and Kay Wallace.
Visitation will be at Roller Crouch Chapel from 6:00-8:00PM on January 14, 2021. Graveside service will be January 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Historic Cemetery of Mountain View with Gary Don Fletcher officiating.
Pallbearers will be Randel Branscum, David Branscum, Billy Steele, Cody Steele, Joey Thomas, and R.L. Pogue. Honorary pallbearers are Glenda Rose, Dr. Irvin, Rick Mitchell, and David Mitchell.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
Sure wish I could have been there to say goodbye to you Uncle Bobby. I know Gene, Mary and Kay will be there to welcome you home. I’m so thankful for the time we had together in August of 2019 when Lisa and I came over and sat at your kitchen table with you just talking and catching up. I love you, Rest In Peace.
So sorry for your loss. He was a kind man and a good friend. Always enjoyed visiting with him.
