Dorothy Evelyn Wilson

of Rogers, AR

June 13, 1930 - January 2, 2024

Dorothy Evelyn Wilson, age 93, of Rogers, Arkansas passed from this earthly life on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born in Superior, Wyoming on June 13th, 1930 to Franklin Marsh and Gladys Helvey Marsh.

Dorothy moved from Wyoming to Arkansas with her family. She met and later married, William Floyd Wilson. While attending a revival she accepted Jesus as her savior. Dorothy remained a faithful Christian her whole life. She was a member of the Harvest Hills Baptist Church, Springdale, Arkansas. She read her Bible daily and led many people to the Lord with her witnessing and prayers. She was an amazing prayer warrior for her family and friends. Attending church was the highlight of her week. After the death of her husband in 1976, Dorothy attended nursing school. This was a rewarding career that lasted over 20 years until her retirement. She lovingly crocheted hats, scarves, mittens, afghans and other items for family and friends. One year she crocheted hats for her entire church family. She enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, the newspaper as well as various books. Dorothy had a servant's heart and her gentle caring spirit will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Weaver and husband Ron of Rogers; grandchildren, Ronda Robin (Mike) of Florida, Carie Means (Sam) of Bentonville, Cristie Weaver of Little Rock, Joshua Weaver (Rachel) of Rogers, Donnette Simons (Randy) and Pamela Conrad; twenty-two great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Chester Daniel Marsh and Franklin Marsh; and many extended family members and friends will also mourn her passing, however, they will rejoice that she is with the Savior she loved.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Gladys Marsh; her husband William Floyd Wilson; two sons, Floyd Don ''Donny'' Wilson and William Carl ''Billy'' Wilson; grandson, Trevor Darty; and seven siblings.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 11th, 2024 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Bryan Graham officiating. My great grandmother was such an amazing woman of God. She was the true example of God’s characteristics in a human. She loved her 3 kids and all grandkids equally. She’s now with 2 of her kids rejoicing with our Lord and Savior forever and ever. Amen??

Aunt Dot was a special person in our lives. She was most often the comedy relief we all need. Our laughter rang out when we were with her. Love and sympathy to Linda and Ron and her entire family. Fly high Aunt Dot!

My Grandmother was an amazing woman, one of the most kind patient people you would have the pleasure of being around. My babies were always wrapped in one of her beautifully, crocheted blankets. You will be missed, but I know you are having a great time with your Lord and Savior.
