Dennis James House, age 63 of Taneyville, Missouri passed from this life on Sunday, February 16th, 2020 at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri. He was born in Davenport, Iowa on June 17th, 1956 to Noah Odell House Sr. and Evelyn Marie White House.

Dennis worked for several years as a bus driver and mechanic for the Marshall School District. He always volunteered in the community and was always ready to help anyone he could. Dennis was a member of the Big Flat Fire Department for 3 years. He then moved to Rock Creek and became a member of the HaRaCo Fire Department for 2 years. After moving to Missouri, he joined the Central Taney County Fire Department in 1996. Dennis served as a firefighter, a lieutenant and captain. In 2007 he was elected to a Board of Directors position, where he eventually became chairman of the Board and remained until his passing. He loved his firefighter family; they meant the world to him. Dennis also volunteered on the Taney County Fair Board for many years. He really enjoyed spending time with the family which included lots of camping trips, riding 4-wheelers and side by sides on the creek. Dennis loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed family dinners and family gatherings all year long. He was always there, anytime for all of us; kids, grandkids and family.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Lecia Wallis House of Taneyville, MO; one son, John Paul Jackson of Taneyville, MO; three daughters, Marie Cook of Western Grove, Donna House of Big Flat and Laura Flewelling and husband Josh of Taneyville, MO; two brothers, Noah Odell House Jr. and wife Nancy of Cozahome and John Randell House of Brown Branch, MO; one sister, Georgia Faye "Sissy" Dye and husband Larry of Rock Creek; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Evelyn House; grandparents; and two infant brothers, Nelson Eudion House and Billy Joe House;

Funeral services for Dennis will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 18th, 2020 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Larry Don Watts officiating.
